Applying for financial aid is a straightforward process: a matter of completing and returning a few forms. Most students are eligible for federal educational loans. The Ph.D. program makes every effort, with the financial aid available, to ensure that a student who is accepted can attend.
In order to be considered for any type of federal or state assistance, including loans, you are required to complete the Free Application for federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and submit it to the Department of Education. Be sure to list the Title IV school code in Step 6.
In addition, our office requires a copy of your (and your spouse's if married) Federal Tax Form for the year prior to the one for which you are applying. It is a federal requirement that our office receive financial aid transcripts from every college you have attended within the last month, whether or not financial aid was received. A financial aid transcript is not the same as an academic transcript and must be requested separately.
