Celebrate Constitution Day - September 17, 2008


	We the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. Preamble U.S. Constitution. Celebrate Constitution Day - September 17, 2008 September 17th commemorates the day in 1787 when thirty-nine delegates to the Philadelphia Convention signed the U.S. Constitution. All members of our PhD community are invited to have appreciation for, to reflect upon, and to have dialog about the significance and impact this historical document has on our lives.
