Since units are awarded based on the satisfactory demonstration of learning, no units can be awarded for learning completed prior to entrance in the program. However, prior learning may be part of the demonstration and documentation of a competency area and, in this way, prior learning might be integrated into a student's completion of program requirements. At no time, however, will prior learning stand alone as a demonstration of competence.
Given the above, there is no advanced standing for prior learning in this program, since there is no specific credit for prior learning awarded other than what occurs in the design and completion of a competency.
