A student graduates when all requirements for the degree have been fulfilled and documentation of all requirements have been received and verified by the Core Faculty Advisor and the Program Office. The Program Office conducts a final degree audit, which is then verified by the Registrar. Once the verification has been approved, the Program Office will issue an official letter of completion of the Ph.D. Degree. The student's files are then maintained permanently consistent with the University's policy on retention of files. The Program Office then issues the diploma at the time of the conferral of degree.
If there is anything missing from the student's file, the Program Office will notify the student. The student is ultimately responsible for getting the required materials and attending to the file completion by the deadline.
