Students are eligible for Candidacy after the completion of all Program requirements (less the Doctoral Dissertation Proposal and the Doctoral Dissertation itself), and the awarding of all 39 annual units. This may occur no sooner than the end of Year 3. In Winter of Year 3, the Program conducts an initial candidacy review of all third-year students and informs the student in writing of all Program requirements still outstanding. Once the student completes and submits all pre-Candidacy requirements, and credit has been awarded, s/he may petition for Advancement to Candidacy. This petition is a formal process that includes submission of the Learning
Portfolio. Once the student advances to Candidacy, his/her student status, tuition and fees subsequently change.
